Technical Reference - Microphone part.nr: 84316938762
I was wondering if the 3rd pin on the MIC is really connected to anything, i dissassemled the microphone and the pin is connected to the earth plane on the pcb.
Just wanted to share because i couldnt find any pictures online and im about to install this MIC for my retrofitted Professional Stereo with bluetooth integrated.
The pin isnt always connected in cars, anyone know why? I know the oem cable is shielded and this pin goes through the drain wire inside the cable. Is it enough to connect the drain wire at the stereo GND and leave it unconnected to the MIC? Is this approach enough as EMF shield?
