20203 my - acc

Any insight as if ACC will be available in 2023MY for the US Market?

This is the only thing holding me back to purchase it. I know for some(most?) of you is a don't care but for me is a must.

It is. Check the ordering guide, they brought it back. My CA is currently adding it to my order.

At least that's one positive for those of us that got held back until 2023 MY

Found this in another thread. I think the G42 is the first in the list.

Glad to see the 50 year badging is good until December of this year, it seemed a little odd that they included it only for a couple of months.

Holy crap guys.

My car is in production right now. I was under the impression I had the Driving Assistance Professional Package.

I don't, I don't even have ACC. One of the reasons I even wanted to buy a new BMW was because my F30 doesn't have ACC.

This is so disappointing.

What's in the driving assistance professional package? My car is fully loaded, except for ACC, M color for cards, and aluminum hex trim, and I don't have it. Is it not available in U.S.?

We've actually been communicating in the order timeline thread lol, we're both week 23ers I think.

The Driving Assistant Professional Package is supposed to have almost every "autonomous" driving system BMW offers, ACC included obviously, it has this system that will make the car drive itself under 40mph. I didn't even know what it was, but I watched a YouTube video of a guy in a M240i demonstrating it. I definitely wanted that as part of my build.

When I originally spec'd the car in April this package was definitely on the configurator that generated the code I gave to my CA. I have screen shots of the car in the configurator showing that front sensor in the bumper.

I wonder if it was removed when I changed it from BSM to BG, or when I changed it from BG to PB.

This is super disappointing. As others have said, this is a feature that comes on cars that are half this price. I guess it's good I realized this now. That would have ruined delivery day for me if I was blindsided.

Driving Assistance Professional was never offered on the G42 in the US. ACC was the only offered option which was removed after a couple months due to shortages. ACC is now back for 2023, but no Driver Ass Pro

Thanks TJZ, that's what I was thinking as I've never seen that package in the configurator.

Ron, I'm week 25, hoping to go into build status very soon

Now that I know MY23 is getting ACC, it won't suck as bad if I get pushed. Just don't want to wait 6 months for a car

The chargers might work well if you route a couple long cables to the front seats, to avoid cluttering up the center console, maybe with a right angle at the USB-C?

The rear climate controls in a 2-er coupe make no sense IMO but... it's probably there just because they're carryover parts from the G20. Only thing I'll have sitting back there will be a cooler on road trips or groceries I don't want in the trunk.

Yeah I may repurpose USB for the front. And yeah, rear climate control is useless. I was making fun of BMWs decision with my above comment. Understanding BMW may have had these parts in excess so they decided to throw them in

Oh no doubt, it makes no sense at all to have those controls there in a 2-dr coupe, we're on the same page there!
