"Angel Wing" welcome lights?

I am coming from an M340 that has the really cool angel wing welcome lights. Does the M240 have that?

It does not, you can only add the door projectors that provide an image projected on the ground when the door is opened, which there are a few options for (roundel, M anniversary, m perf, etc.

Ok thank you, yeah I have those on my M340 also. No big deal to not have the Angel wings but it would have been nice. It’s a cool feature.

Yeah, I agree, I wish BMW would have included them. Probably minimal cost to add them and would make many owners happy. Take away my rear climate control and give me angel wings and/or ACC.

So, I cant agree on that trade off as I have little kids that will be sitting in the back and I am grateful for the rear climate controls, but I agree with your sentiment. I would gladly pay a little more for the car to include that. What absolutely flabbergasted me is why they removed the flip down storage compartment to the left of the driver on the dash. That has been a BMW staple forever. You can clearly still see the shape cutout they just removed the door. Really odd.

Yeah I guess, no kids here, only my dog goes in the back.

Agreed on flip down storage, it makes no sense at all. Like what production cost did that really reduce for BMW? Likely not worth it. They need to poll current owners to get opinions before doing things. Also switching the shifter for the little nub many are not happy about, and I'm grateful for on it on my MY22.

If I answered a poll last year about the shifter, I would have said I wanted the traditional one. But now that I have the little nub, I love it. Its very satisfying to play with and I do not underappreciate how much easier it makes cupholder access versus my car with the traditional shifter. Ill take either way and be happy. But I think if they polled owners of previous models, we would probably all be driving clones of the E46 to this day

Agreed. It's not a big deal to me, but having only driven manuals for my entire driving life, I appreciate resting my hand on it while driving. I would not hesitate to buy the car if it had the nub. I know some are more strongly opposed to the nub.

I would prefer the shifter but it’s no big deal either way. My wife’s car has a push button transmission and you get used to it really quick.

Check the projector unit, it may be interchangeable with the M240i one. Also check the projector slides as I think they are all the same size so you could swap them out.

Part number for 50 year projector slides with projector unit is 63315A64018
