Ive been working on a diy video, but its a complex install and theres not a heap of interest and/or people are just super rude about the work that goes into creating content to step bybstep guide people through the process - so i work on it when, but the incentive for me to dedicate the time is minimal given the general nature of the community.

So the main thing is im demonstrating it can be done, if i can work it out and do it anyone can.

I understand your discouragement to finish the video. I have never owned a BMW so the whole coding thing is new to me. I will be looking forward to your video if you end up releasing it. Its pretty cool what you are able to do with coding to unlock all this stuff. It looks like there is more than just coding to get to your results too so I see how it could get even more complex.

If you want the M track display it’s not just coding. You also have to buy a module to enable it.

Not sure why the person in this post doesn’t mention that fact. also adding m sport buttons is nothing new. People were doing that a year ago in their g20s. All of the info is already out there.

The thing I was most intrigued about was the m xdrive function to go 2wd instead of 4wd with just a tap in the menu

It doesn’t actually do anything. It just shows in the menu and that’s it, it cannot make the car 2wd

Would be cool if it was possible. The hardware is there to send power entirely to the front or back, it's a shame BMW didn't provide software support for this.
