I’ve done the upgrade.
Tonight I noticed my Msport Door LEDs were continuously turning (fading) on and off.
Has anybody else experienced this?

Got the update pushed in Australia a couple of days ago so far all good was hoping that the Steering intervention would remember the off command after restart did not happen. Lost all bimmercode settings but will reset them after the service on Monday.

Still getting the failed remote start from the app issue everynow and again on overnight starts.

Nothing else to report that Ican notice

This may be related to what you're noticing, but since the update, I've only done WOT a couple of times in S1/auto mode, and did notice it holding the gear longer before the shft. But, it was still smooth.

Today, I did a WOT run in manual, and the 1st to 2nd shift near redline was HARSH. It didn't feel good at all. It wasn't like that before the update.

Even the 2nd to 3rd shift was harsher than before, but not as harsh as the 1st to 2nd, which was pretty much BRUTAL. The differential made a loud whack and actually snapped the rear tires loose for a second. Also never seen that before. Sucks. May not use manual any more for WOT runs, but more for just cruising around.

I don’t like the new font at all— especially in Eco-mode. It’s not as readable and NOT a good design choice, IMO.

That and the excessive honeycomb shading is why I prefer the M dash from BimmerCode. Very clean, very simple.

Me too… but ever since the update, it keeps showing 3.0csl logo, and I just can’t stand that.
Did you find a fix?

It does the same for me, as well as others with different models that I’ve read on other forums.

I don’t really like it, sorta find it comical, but will likely leave it until an update is provided.

I've heard stories of exhaust notes getting quieter after these updates dating back to 2020 (which is why I have not updated yet). I just found this post in the g20 forums recently saying this OTA update has changed the exhaust note. Did anyone notice this?

If anything my exhaust got louder with the update. I even went in and disabled ASD a second time to make sure it was off.

I also have the "Sporty" exhaust valve option, though I usually run it in "Depending on driving mode" option

Agreed 💯. I definitely found it to be more burbly than the previous software version, nothing crazy, but definitely notable.

All my bimmercode settings reset which is such a pain, I guess I should have expected that. Other than that - I dont notice much difference. I dont think I would upgrade given the option again.

I’m going with a little throatier as well, but wasn’t sure if it was related to the JB4 being installed around the same time.

I'm in Texas and no update here either. Says I'm "up to date" for Nov. 2021 software

Software updates could effect the burble/fart on shifts. Unlikely to make the engine sound any throatier unless they really started remapping it and changing the tune around, which is super unlikely.

JB4 couldn't directly change the sound, its just a boost controller. But higher boost levels will have higher cylinder pressures and higher production of exhaust gases, so this could make it sound different / more aggressive when at full throttle full boost.

I'm sure it was just my imagination, or possibly paying more attention to it on a cold morning vs. a warm morning.

Unable to install update

The My BMW app indicates under "Remote Software Upgrade" - "Upload complete. Please continue in your BMW".

The car, a 2022, reflects that the upload of 07/2022.58 was completed successfully and that instructions for installation would follow. That was more that 2 weeks ago, followed by 2 calls to BMW Genius, an email from Genius providing step by step instructions, and a visit with the dealer's Genius. All attempts were unsuccessful.

I have an appointment to leave the car with the Genius this coming Tuesday. He has researched the problem and indicates that he can "force" the installation.

Anyone out there with the same experience?
