Stage 1 sport COBB
I will be rubbing cobb stage 1 sport on my stock 335. I always use 93 octane, but for this stage it calls for 91. Is it ok if ibuse 93 for this stage?

always fine if you use something better. You can run sport or aggressive with 93. Just data log it to make sure everything is running silky smooth.

Start with the Drive map on 91 octane and log. If there are no timing corrections jump up to the Sport Map. If that map looks happy go to aggressive. This would be a cautious approach.

There is no regular. There are Drive, Sport, and Agressive maps. If you have 93 octane run stage 1 Sport, log, if all is good then go to Agressive. I use ATR to fine tune my maps, but if you arn't willing to do so contact a protuner.

I already told him this in one of the eleven threads he's started in the last 36 hours. I'm by no means an expert on this stuff but I do know how to

Hmm I never bothered logging on stage 1 aggressive. Would the car bog or would I notice anything if it wasn't running right/smoothly? Doesn't the car automatically protect itself?
I guess I should figure out how to log with my cobb... |

Higher octane is usually a good thing. Low octane could result in knocking. Also, make sure you have either a drop-in filter, or dual cone intake. The extra flow over stock makes the car happy.
+1 on what the other guys said. You are definitely better of starting with the drive map and logging, and then going to sport, then aggressive if everything looks good in the logs. Have fun! |

As far as the OP is concerned, I actually disagree with the consensus a little bit. I recommend just loading the map appropriate for your fuel(aggressive for 93) and let it adapt for a day or so and then grab a couple datalogs. The OTS maps are pretty conservative and there is no risk of engine damage in this scenario. If it is a little too much then flash over to sport and log.

At VAC now and getting the cobb installed and also getting a drop in air filter. Very excited! Steve at VAC recommended fusing stage 1 sport for nice daily driving smooth power. I will post back after my first drive

You are paying someone to install the tune and put in a filter?
