One of my CAs told me today that being 8th at his Canadian store (Class A) might get me a build spot in Fall. Hope it would be early Oct just in time to tuck it away in my garage with a battery tender mid-Oct. I would prefer it spends Winter in my garage instead of their parkade.

Move your allocation to model year '24. It makes no sense to have a car built at the end of the year unless you like depreciation.

I think that just means it's on a train coming to Canada. I'm one step behind you. If you contact your SA they'll probably have more accurate tracking.

If it "just" switched, it means its hit the boat of rail. I belive all MX cars go to Concord via rail. Or hit Halifax, then rail.

But either way, you're about 2-3 weeks from it being at the dealership.

It switched from left the factory to at the port to in transit all in one day

. Hopefully it will be at the dealership early-mid next month.

just out of curiosity; are you buying the g87 beside your g80 or if you are switching from the g80 what are your main reasons for this ?

Your suspicion is correct as your CA is 100% incorrect. All he has to do is look within the system and he will discover the exact current status. It will literally take him less than five minutes. BTW, what you are seeing it usually a step or two behind. It is rarely if ever ahead of the game.

Ah okay. At least it’s built and has left the factory-hopefully.

Yeah my SA is not that enthusiastic. The guy who I dealt with previously is not with BMW anymore so I went with a new SA and he does not like to check anything.

I sold my G80 last year as soon as the G87 M2 was announced. What can I say, I really like the boxy/lego-ish shape 😂.
Plus I really loved my M2C and I’m hoping that G87 would be as much fun if not more🤞🏽

Yea that sounds like a shitty SA. My car is behind yours and I confirmed through dealer and online that it was finished being built 2 weeks ago. You're definitely already in transit.

Mine is now “in transit” on the bmw track app. In the BMW system, the information are that the car leave the factory by train on 11/03/23. Got the call yesterday that RV for leasing are available at the dealer. We are getting closer!

So it seems we will see a lot of RED M2's in Ontario in 2023 and 2024

We'll need to look for a rare cool color for MY2024 or MY2025 G87 then (especially with additional colors expected and maybe even a G87 Comp, who knows
