My roof trim piece broke.
The spring attaching it to the metal joint broke.

Dealership/ private repair store wants >$1k for a $30 plastic piece, so I'm just going to do it myself.

The problem I'm seeing is that the piece that the spring that goes into the clip is deformed. I didn't see an easy way to remove/replace it and couldn't find the part number.


I was going to try and bend it back myself. Wanted to see if anyone had dealt with his before.

I could potentially bend a staple, that spring piece was pretty flimsy.

I think that piece is the only thing holding the 54377184038 piece to the metal and there isn't any glue involved.
