E-Fan seems to run unnecessarily

I’ve noticed (nothing new) that my engine fan seems to kick in fairly often even though ambient temps here are cool (around 30° F) and engine is not at operating temp of 97° C.

As you’d imagine, I have cabin heat on at these temps. Turning it off doesn’t seem to change things appreciably.

Thermostat and water pump aren’t that old (OE parts), and I don’t recall seeing any DTCs for map thermostat or anything else cooling system related. Radiator is also near new (genuine part). Coolant level is good. No leaks.

No overheating or other actual issues, just seems odd that my car is so determined to keep the engine below operating temp, even when sitting idle.

Any ideas? TIA

Have you checked the coolant temp sensor?
