You know what, I'm going to throw it out there that I'm appreciating the enthusiasm and energy here. I once had that long ago...Took a long time in life to see that scrappy pretty much always beats smart in the real world, and uses smart to advance their own position. ahhhh, youth.
This is helping pass the time waiting on the BMW production and delivery process.

The pinnacle of arrogance is accusing others who's questions you can't actually answer of being arrogant.
Further complicating the matter is that fact that EARNED arrogance is entirely different than arrogance by default. Fact of the matter is that you're incapable of responding on any engineering related level. So in order to remain "the top man" on here, you resorted to name calling while believing everyone else on the site will go along with it. That is not taking the high road. Again, owners manuals, build dates and other 8th grade study hall level factoids are entirely meaningless in the world of automotive engineering and the irrefutable mathematical and physical proofs on which it's based. Once again and with all due respect: In a simple sentence, explain to me what dictates tractive force at any given vehicle speed. (Suggestion: Don't bother me, make me look bad though name calling and then post the rolling eyes emoticon. In the unlikely event of your being able to properly respond to that, I'll queue m follow-up question in advance: Question 2: Whyisn't tractive force a first order determinant of vehicle acceleration? What grade are you in? Really? Have you ever been published in ANYTHING? What degrees do you hold and what patents do you have?
You posted a rolling eye response for no good reason while assuming I'm going to sit back and take it. I am not nor should anyone else. Please answer my specific engineering related questions or I'll permanently block you. Your choice, Boba. (Note: "Star Wars" fantasy physics won't suffice in answering my technical questions.) |

Can you see the difference in that, "Ronin?" Now go ahead and answer the tractive force related questions I've posed to another member on here by interfering. You two are clearly the super smart auto experts and I just need to reassured in the mathematics and physical proofs by relying on smarter folks such as yourselves. I assume you mean me, but I was just adding information…
I was trying to understand where all this engineering talk came from, I remember you’re an engineer yourself, and even without a G87 you mentioned the physics principle that moves rocks from the ground to hit radiators, I’m not sure if it’s related to the engineering question posed on this thread, maybe it’s the same answer: https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=30790948 |

1 HP in a currently 453 HP (advertised) engine equates to a 0.2208% difference. No car could drive if individual component production tolerances were anything remotely close to that.
So yes it matters. That's actually a very large deviation from the baseline in anything remotely resembling what's required in the scientific and engineering fields. Hey, which cartoons have you watched this week so far? |
