Here are some pics of Arktis in the day light. This colour is quite deceptive. One minute it can be a light blue, then a greeny blue, and then bluey silver. When I saw it in the flesh it looked greeny/bue, but as you can see from my photos that isn't the case.

20" wheels are just too big for my taste, but the design of the Hartge Classics is really elegant and a great fit for 3 series BMWs, I think in 19" it would be really nice. (they are heavy as hell tho)

Looking back through this thread you can tell how different Arctic looks under different lighting. If I didn't know better, I would have thought we were looking at different colors altogether.

jwocky: the day my car arrives at the dealer im gonna take pics and post them. should arrive in a week or two.
The sales rep keeps assuring me arktis is beautiful. U should see my emails to her. "OMG the car is green I dont want a green bmw" "Oh no its baby blue .... are you sure this colour is silveries/greyish". I think she and myself will be relieved once the car arrives and i have inspected it from every angle (with my camera of course)

Great! Looking forward to your photos. Arctic/Arktis will be one of the rarer colors (compared to SG, Black, Silver) What color is your interior?

That's a funny exchange you're having with your dealer I've seen the color in person at the NY Auto Show and thought it was very nice. Sure the color does take on different hues under different lighting, but what's so bad about that as long as all the different hues looks good (which it does).

My reason for those e-mails with dealer was caused by confusion. Every time I saw a picture the colour looked different and I was beginning to wonder what it actually does look like. The "3" information booklet I got in February has such a tiny square depicting each colour you could not even judge on that.

This was one of my favorite colors from pictures. However, I wasn't that impressed when I saw it in person. It might have been the lighting in the downstairs showroom it was in though.
