The problem ALL reviewers neglect to cover isn't the 'one-stop' capability of a car but it's repeated breaking ability. I.e. how consistent are the brakes? What is their tendency to fade (OEM discs, pads, fluids). Testing how well a car brakes as a one-off doesn't tell you much.

I will also add that I love Car Wow videos, but their braking test is laughable. Why don't they record the actual braking distance with a recording device instead of relying on human variability (reaction speed, pedal force etc) and environment variances (different surfaces, aquaplaning etc).

Exactly on the brake tests. Any distance they measure, however small, they attribute to the car's brakes when the distance may well be just measurement error.

Well they both look aggressive. Its just the new 2 series has more of a "tetragonal" body. More sharp lines, etc.

and that's only when comparing the top level/most aggressive factory trim of the F87 with a tint, and perhaps even lowered.. to the new 2 series, and the trim second from the bottom at that.

CarWow already recorded that data in their full review video. Go to 1:44.

A quicker car. The M2CS tops out at 174 and is, necessarily, faster.

If you regularly watch his channel you'll know any car that Matt drives loses the brake test (well 99% of the time). His reaction time is always the slowest.

The whole thing is just for entertainment. There's nothing else in it really. Switch your brain completely off, crack open a beer.

The result was exactly as anticipated. The 240 removes what bit of skill is still remaining in the M2C to get off the line so it's going to win standing starts 9/10 times. The M2C accelerates faster when it's moving and looks more beautiful whilst doing it.

Funny how last time Matt drove the M240i it beat the RS3 and CLA45 S in the brake test. Maybe the M240i just stops well.

And yes the M2C looks more beautiful... like a pretty girl. The m240i though is just more handsome.

Really I think the new 2 is sleeker and looks more like a girls car. That’s totally subjective but I think the m2c still has the beefier race car look. I wonder how the new m2 will be.
