I'm a 2 series fan but for some reason the side profile looks long and awkward.

Headlights and taillights look like they came off a Kia. Just hideous esp when compared to the old 2 series. God I hope it's better in person. Looks like used M2s are going to be collectibles no matter what 🤦🏻*♂️

If it feels as good as the 3 G series you should not regret it. I am super happy with my M340i, the leap between F and G series makes the F series feel like an old car in many aspects, quality, refinement, stiffness and performance.

Since look/design of a car is subjective anyhow, it is totally unnecessary to add "to me" to each statement about looks/design! Just saying ...

Is that really Brooklyn Grey?
Looks more like the Metallic White to me.

Yeah that sport line has me thinking. Really not digging the gloss black side skirt. BTW had this trim on my Golf R and had to immediately wrap all of it in PPF

I like 90%. The garish side scoops in the front are the let down. Looks like some aftermarket bumper a kid in HS would buy. Obviously dark colors minimize it.

Agreed. Still way better than the M3/M4. I hope they don't go crazy with the new M2 with scoops and all the tacky crap on the G80.

I struggle to understand BMW's agenda in forcing such controversial design choices. Make it optional to have black or body coloured skirts. Seems a simple thing, just plastic bits.

Agreed. In my opinion, body color is definitely better (same with mirrors) but I suspect it'll look better in person because when you're not sitting at ground-level the rocker panel isn't as noticeable. Same view ange issue with the rear valance panel. In the real world, it's not as prominent and doesn't look like a dark-colored diaper.

This. X1000. I don't get it. Why did they do this on the G series m cars?

I'm thinking of making a similar switch from my OG M2 to this. I might be able to keep the M2, but I'm not completely sure so fingers crossed. If it comes down to a waiting game I don't mind pausing this car for another year or two. I'd love to keep a stick car & use it for track sessions while I daily the M240i.

I love the xdrive, the 8 speed transmission, B58, looks, interior, price, etc. I've never been a fan of the way the 3/4 feel from the drivers seat. They're too big for my liking & I'm hoping this new 2 series will be the perfect balance for me.

Melbourne red w/red brakes will be my color combo. I'll put some 19 inch BBS LM's with the brushed clear finish, clear bra the whole car, & maybe a high flow cat w/bolt ons & a pure turbo. It might be my first ten second car even if it takes some 100octane

Does anyone know if the US models are going to have the wheel arch extensions? I don’t see it on the build configurator on US but was on the Canadian site. I think it adds some more unique lines to the car.

Yes…they come with optional Cooling and High Performance Tire Package. If you select it you will see them showing up.

I don't like the front end or the black (looks cheap) lower trim. I do think the side and rear views are good.
