So i just tried to order the spoiler and this morning was told its on back order for a year!!! What the hell man. How did you get your spoiler?
I google searched the part # and chose one of the multiple places that had it for sale. I got it from bmwpartswholesale.com

Hey guys I’m sorry I was ghost on this!! This was a $1250 option installed at the port. This saved me ordering and having to pay my dealer to install. It also got rolled into my lease. I can look up the part numbers for you guys when I get a second. I am still waiting on the carbon steering wheel cover that wasn’t available when I built this. This being a 2, there is only the dash and the center trim so $1250 for that was a little steep but I think with the cognac interior it adds a classy yet race-y feel.

It also wasn’t available when I submitted my build so I paid $150 for the aluminum tetragon trim which they took at the port and for the carbon 😂

It's a shame BMW don't offer a gloss carbon interior as this is something I would of been interested in.

I personally went for the gloss black pack with the interior on my M240I order but even if there was a good quality after market gloss carbon finish interior available that's something I would be interested in but I'm yet to see a gloss finish carbon interior for the M240I just yet.

Look up the m3 parts. it cost about 1600 for the same pieces.

I'll link them when I get to my computer

Or aliexpress real carbon overlays that are 3m'd on for about $200

Thanks ever so much it looks amazing 😍

So I take it all these parts are a direct fit in a new M240I ?

Are those the part numbers for when ordering via BMW ?

Sorry for all the questions

I've just noticed from his thread they are the part numbers so ignore that question.

I'm surprised the steering wheel and shifter parts all fit.

No problem, The dry carbon interior posted in here is the same part number for the new 2 series, 3 series and 4 series so it should be a perfect swap.

It's around 1600 on the discount bmw websites give or take. Closer to a 2000msrp so try and find it discounted.

https://www.getbmwparts.com/

https://www.bmwpartswholesale.com/
Also plenty more sites like this that are just dealers selling parts direct

The only difference is the dry carbon says m performance on the passenger side strip and the wet carbon is just blank

I've asked my dealer a few times because this is something i really want (i went ahead and got the gloss black because i really wanted to opt for this in port) but each time i ask if this is available at port he has told me no and that he would let me know. Just trying to the process figured out because this is a must have for me.

Im not sure the true process of how to add it. I work at my dealer here in MA and when the car had finished its production and was awaiting transport, I went to my sales manager and looked at all of the available port options. The only carbon at the time (mid Oct) was carbon interior and carbon door sills. There was no pictures of the parts, only the press released photos of the M-Performance car. Carbon was $1250 and that was added onto my sticker.

Last I checked the only exterior that is currently available is the carbon grill and the carbon diffuser. Everything else has a 0 quantity with possible part arrival 1/25.

Im hoping to add the carbon steering wheel cover for interior and the carbon grill and wait for a non BMW diffuser.

I was able to add it to my order. I had asked my CA what M Performance parts were available at the time of my order and she was only able to pull up the interior and door sills... so I pulled the trigger on the interior.
I'm still waiting for mine. It has been sitting in "Ready for Transport" since 12/23.

I put the AutoTecknic Carbon fiber seat backs on my M3, they are technically stick on parts but I think they look great. Looking back and the AliExpress stuff, it appears to be similar to the AutoTecknic. (Though the whole kit for the M240i is less than the 2 seat backs for the M3 so not sure if that spells cheaper build quality)

If that's the case, then I am really tempted to try the AliExpress, or at least order it and set it on all the areas before sticking it on to see how it looks, and then return if the quality is bad. I guess I should have not wasted the $150 on the standard trim haha.

I would likely not use the shifter piece though, I'd love to fine a conversion to the leather shifter like in my M3.

Those seat backs look great. I rolled the dice on the aliexpress ones carbon trim from earlier in this thread. I had a gift card so I took the chance. I much prefer the wet interior and the m3 parts were way more than the m performance dry.

I want it to match the M performance carbon front lip, carbon spoiler and carbon door sills that I have on order.

If it's crappy I'll suck it up and go the m3 interior route.

Parts are waiting to clear US customs. So soon!

Thanks, I really like the way the seat back turned out.

I'll be watching for when you get your stuff from AliExpress and to hear if you like it. I sent them a message asking for better pictures of the back of the pieces so that I can see quality better. We'll see what I hear back. I also wonder if they will damage the original trim if you want to take them off later. Do you plan to put the shift knob piece on?

I didn't get the kit with the shift knob. I got 5 piece. Left vent, dash board, center console, flip up door and the small piece above the door.

https://a.aliexpress.com/_mPKbiVe ordered from this seller. $190 shipped. Looks like real carbon from the backside. We'll see soon
