Below are some pics of my car that I took delivery of on 9/21/22. It was ordered from Flemington BMW in NJ.

Here's my order progress - Total order to delivery time was 170 days or 5.5 months
  • 4/4 - Order placed (3 days)
  • 4/7 - Allocation/build# provided (28 days)
  • 5/5 - Scheduled for production (41 days)
  • 6/15 - Production begins - VIN provided - build date 6/28 (9 days)
  • 6/24 - Production begins - build date moved to 6/29 (4 days)
  • 6/28 - Passed through these statuses today - Build date @ 6/29 (1 day)
  • - Exterior body assembly begins
  • - In paint booth
  • - Entering assembly line
  • 6/29 - Assembly in progress and then quality check - build date @ 6/30 (1 day)
  • 6/30 - Final assembly (41 days)
  • 8/10 - Ready for transport (26 days)
  • 9/5 - In transit (14 days)
  • 9/19 - At the port (1 day)
  • 9/20 - At the dealer (1 day)
  • 9/21 - Took delivery

I ticked pretty much every box for this build, except for the wireless charger, 50th anniversary emblems, and M logo'd door cards; Adaptive Cruise Control was not available. The only option I regret is the all weather floor mats, but they will do. A copy of my window sticker is below.

Delivery went smooth, the only thing they messed up on is they detailed it when I told them to leave it completely untouched. The detailer did a nice job so I was fine with it, one less job for me to do. Grateful they did not drill holes in the front bumper for the license plate.

Mods as of 12/20/23:
1. Carbon Fiber CS rear spoiler
2. Carbon Fiber interior trim
3. Red start button
4. Carbon Fiber exhaust tips
5. Carbon Fiber antenna cover
6. OEM black badging, X-Drive debadged
7. 55% tint on all windows except windshield
8. Screen protector on iDrive 7 screen
9. Xpel Ultimate Plus PPF pre-cut on front bumper & kidney grills
10. SunTek Ultimate Plus PPF on full hood & headlights
11. TLG mud flaps front & rear
12. Full Carbon Fiber mirror caps
13. OEM Carbon Fiber door sill trim
14. Carbon Fiber steering wheel trim
15. Carbon Fiber paddle shifters
16. Turner Motorsports skid plate with stainless steel mesh riveted over square holes
17. Ceramic coating, including wheels & calipers
18. MST intake with MST turbo inlet
19. Yellow DRL’s

I love your build, still trying to decide between TN/oyster and BG/tacora.

Those exhaust tips are awesome, are they connecting to the stock exhaust directly or you have an aftermarket unit ?

Would you mind sharing the part number for the tips

Thanks, I am very happy with the color combo and get many compliments on it. If I was to order again I wouldn't change a thing.

The tips are not OEM, and they connect directly to the factory exhaust pipe behind the existing garnish on the rear bumper. You need to find a set that has an oval inlet to match the factory piping.

Very nice combo! I think you forgot to cut off the little hanger strips from the rubber floor mats.

Coconut - Thanks, I didn't even notice. The dealer had these in place for me already on delivery day.

DriftKing860 - Not sure how long these will last, some have reported that they start looking beat up relatively quickly. The install is somewhat easy, the hardest part is getting them to look angled the same.

Looks good - same build as mine. Add 13mm spacers all-around for a perfect 893M fitment and a JB+ left in default setting for extra smiles & giggles.

Where did you get the red start button?

Thanks, not sure what I'm doing yet regarding spacers/springs, this will likely be my spring/summer project. Regarding JB+, I'm in the "I don't want to screw up my warranty" camp, but I'd love to do a JB/piggyback. Only planning an intake at the moment.

See this post, I'm very happy with this red button. It feels more hefty/higher quality than the ones I got from AliExpress and another from Amazon.

Thanks - the odd font spacing is why I haven't bought one, but yours looks perfect.

It's been about 5 months on those exhaust tips. How are they holding up? Do you recommend them?

Yup, holding up great. Granted, it's been a mild winter in the northeast US.

I've always hated seeing the stock chrome ones, these look so much nicer.

Installed CF steering wheel trim and CF paddle shifters today. The install took around 1 hour. The hardest part was figuring out how to get the airbag to release.
