New dme
Hi guys. I think my only route now with my car (57plate 335i n54) is to swap out the ecu if I were to just buy another dme what's involved in getting it fired up again?

1) buy a new one from BMW & let them programme it. Probably about £1300 for the ECU plus another £500 for programming
2) get a specialist (like BW Chiptune) to supply & programme a used ECU for you for about half of what option 1 would cost you. You could posibly a 2nd hand one for them to recondition, but you would need to be 100% it's compatible with your car. There are probably other solutions, but not proper ways of resolving your problems. |
