Hello,
I just started doing some HPDEs and plan to do many more in the future. Oil has gotten to 285° and want to start doing some cooling mods.

My car came without an oil cooler so I retrofitted the oem one on. Plan to get a 25 row soon. 5" fmic is also way too small for the track, going with a 7.5".

Today I discovered my radiator is cracked and is leaking quite bad. I've seen a few posts on the CSF radiators which have mixed reviews. My car is an automatic which has the trans cooler in the bottom few rows which I understand reduces its efficiency.

Question is, do I go with an OEM radiator or the CSF which is around 3x as much?

Any feedback appreciated

In my opinion, the CSF is worth it. In addition to being very well built (should last the life of the car) it does a great job of keeping temps in check. A LOT of limp modes on the track are due to coolant temps, not oil temps.

Yes it is worth it if the car is being tracked. The OEM one is shit, it’s actually smaller then the n52 radiator due to the fmic. Having upgraded factory location inlets will need some modifying to the fan shroud.

I bought mine pre-Covid and it’s a piece of art. It looked far too nice to never been seen lol

Agreed with the above responses. The CSF is high quality solid piece of kit. It's worth the install plus it's an opportunity to knock out over due maintenance on a 335i. Tons of failure parts you could replace at the same time.
