As a percent of total the cost (0.28%) -- the money spent on having another means of charging is an easy decision, even if it is an incredibly stupid execution.

Mind you: there are 2 USB ports you can use (a type A and a type C). But you might already know that

I agree; if you’re getting the manual it’s a 100% bail on the wireless charger. It barely fits the new iPhone 15 pro max and it gets red hot after charging. I don’t use it anymore just the usb-c plug in or wireless car play. Probably left over tech from the F87 platform lol

hello from DFW, my white one just arrived at port last Friday. I was thinking of frozen blue but ended up saving the money for carbon roof+trim instead (then cheaped out with alpine white lol)

wireless charger is a no-brainer (for AT), it is not just the charging, it's also part of the Digital Key function.

Order was placed on 10/16 and it was shown as "at the port" on 11/17. Dealer called me the same day asking me to get ready to pick up around next(this) week. But my track time is not very useful to you since Frozen colors are different. I think it is a STEAL to choose frozen paint, it is a lot cheaper than $3,600 price tag on M3/M4.

Seriously the wireless charger on the 6MT is useless. Makes my phone burning hot, doesn't even charge it, and pretty sure it's responsible for the battery degrading really bad since I've had the car.

Save yourself the money and the extra space in the center console.

The autos have a newer version of it and they get to start their cars with their phones. We got screwed

I placed my order with my SA on 11/9. She told me that the car should arrive sometime Jan/Feb. So if my timeline is the same as meister_bing i should be seeing an update in a few weeks time.

Where did you see the wireless charger is a requirement for digital key?

I got my production number on the 14th and was told initially the wait was about 4 months, but on a recent discussion with my client advisor they think it might come a bit earlier.

This is good info on the MT with the wireless charger though. I will drop that from my build.

what do you mean it's part of digital key function? you don't need wireless charging to have digital key.

I expect the confusion is that a dependency for a wireless key is NFC, which is installed in the same general area as the AT wireless charger (and absent entirely from the MT).

You don't need wireless charging option to have a digital key. I have a digital key without wireless charging option. Digital key is also on my galaxy phone.

Would be nice if someone could figure out a way to get that NFC in a MT car but seems like a stretch

Yes, the wireless charging on the manual is worthless. Thats the only think I would change from my build. I just use wireless car play and a wired USB-C for power.
