Height Adjustable Springs. Lowers the car 10mm at port but you can get it lowered than that or higher if you choose.

Depends on if your dealer has an allocation for the order, otherwise you will have to wait until they have an allocation to officially order the car from BMW. Just ask them. If you're waiting on an allocation then let them know you want to wait on a 2025. If they had an allocation and it is in the system then you're getting a 2024.

Thanks - car not yet allocated; three M2 allocations ahead of me at this large BMW dealership

I have 4 people ahead of me waiting on an allocation. I was told I am about a year out so I am expecting a '25 which I am fine with...bring on some new colors.

Thanks - more power for '25 is the main attraction for me. CS also coming for 2025 but only with 8 speed ZF automatic as I'm sure most are aware. Planning on running my 6 speed manual M2 bone stock, though slower car than the automatics...

'25 allocations won't start until August last I heard so you'll probably get a '24 since it's a large dealership, lots of months inbetween now and then for 3 allocations to get used up

That's incorrect; 2025 model year production starts in August '24, with the first US cars showing up at dealerships in the September '24 period. Allocations obviously must happen beforehand.

Hence, my main concern is time to allocation, with three other M2s at the same dealership awaiting allocation prior to mine. I've been told by my sales rep that optional cost paint colors (I'm getting the $650 black) and carbon fiber roof can extend production times.

He believes I'll get a 2025 car, though I wanted to post on here to ask if any well informed person may have additional insight in the matter.

I am pretty sure it was reported that the CS will be 2026 but not sure if it will calendar year '26 or model year '26. There is a thread about this that gives good information about the CS and other future models. Tag is the one to go to for info on that.

Loads of posts from good sources saying the power increase is coming for 2025 model year cars. + 20, +21 and +22 HP increases been reported.

Two of many examples here:

https://www.bmwblog.com/2024/01/12/2...3%20horsepower.

I think this is really dependent on your dealership...how often they get allocation and how many. I believe my dealership are on the smaller end so I will have to wait a bit. I think if you get an allocation by June you may get a '24. After that it may be a coin toss.

correct, '25 will have the power bump (and additional colors). I was referring to the CS model which you had also mentioned.

Less certain about the CS, though many good sources are saying 2025.

Example:

if production starts in August then there will only be August allocations....like I had a February allocation and car was produced on 4/22. They might hand them out in July, but they are still August ones.

It really comes down to how big your dealer is and how often they get M2 allocations, the real big dealers can get multiple a month so it just depends

+20hp (not 21, not 22) is guaranteed for MY25; old news.

Broker recommendations...

Hi all... looking to lease M2 as a track car for me and my daughter... has anyone worked with a Broker to find a decent lease for a custom build around $66k? Build Code A00L76DG
So far I only saw Day Laborer who primarily works on the East Coast... I am in Phoenix though.
Thanks

Not new news to me at all, though apparently it is to some others here.

I've known about this many months beforehand. Also known that CS will get more power still (read 511 advertised HP), but automatic trans only. Not going to spend the extra coin on a CS and live with the automatic.

Thanks for your PM reply. I'm going to let the existing order "ride." Sale rep seems well informed (Roger Penske dealer) and is pretty certain it'll be a 2025 car.

***EDIT: Contacted sales rep and told him I wanted a 2025 and to move me back in the allocation list if necessary based in your input. Thank you.***

My build here, with dealer taking my order accordingly:

I don't think you need a broker for a car like this. I never understood brokers for MSRP deals. Just call a few of your local dealers and ask them to give you an M2 lease quote. Ask for buy rate and see if anyone is willing to bite.

6% under is what I would expect for an M2. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Do you have contact info for Day Laborer?

Hard to believe going through a broker (who I assume charges a fee for their services) would also result in a discount on an ordered car...but color me intrigued!

I plan on ordering an M2 but am waiting to finalize until options/specs are confirmed for the '25 model year.
