Bought an 08' 328i coupe
I purchased a CPO black/black 328i with sports package (but no premium). 22k miles was previously a leased car, 1 owner.
I got it for 26,688 pre-tax/fees, 2.7% interest rate (first time buyer), $6000 down, including maintenance package for 6 years/100k miles. Any opinions on whether it's a good deal or not? |

I say it's a decent deal. I got my 2008 6mt montego blue on black Dakota leather with every option but navi with only 450 miles for 32000 tax and licensing included.

From your perspective, it is most certainly a good deal. Were it not, you would not have bought the car. That is pretty much all that matters: you bought a car you like at a price you can afford. The goal of the dealership is to perform economically as a "perfect monopolist." So, you paid as much as you were willing to pay fro that commodity so you are happy.
Why bother comparing the price you paid with that others claim to have paid? The circumstances of each of your buying situation differ, so there's not really a comparison to be made. Were you to find you paid more than so-and-so, you'd accomplish little beyond feeling badly and possibly feeling like the dealer swindled you, when neither feeling is really justified. Enjoy your new car. Did you pay less than some portion of other CPO 2008 328i buyers who also bought around this time?

Dang....so how did I get jacked by BMW telling me I had to pay their "standard" interest rate because I'm a first time buyer?? They charge me 6.9% interest and I have excellent credit. And they made me put 10% on 30,650.
Did I get shafted on the interest? I plan to buy out the loan with another bank loan after a couple months. Just want to make sure I lock in the extended maintenance. My coupe stats I just bought: CPO 2008 328i 22k miles black/black Sports w paddle shifters Premium w bluetooth, heated seats Nav iPod $30,600 6.9% financing for extended maintenance Last edited by flea333; 01-13-2011 at 03:02 AM.. |
