E90 328xi DIY for many items
Hello E90 post community, I use these forums frequently for technical information and don't post on things as much as I should. There isn't a huge amount of support available for the xi model cars it doesn't seem like. So I wanted to do a write up for a major job I just completed. It turned into somewhat of a charlie foxtrot so I may have glossed over some things because the job took significantly longer than I would have liked. In any case I Will cover in this write up how to do:
o Jack up and position vehicle for service o Serpentine Belt replacement o Front Swaybar replacement o Hubcap replacement o UUC short shift kit for 328xi o Shift Knob replacement o Transmission fluid flush o Front Differential fluid flush o Rear Differential Fluid Flush o Coolant flush and drain plug replacement o Front brake caliper/pad/rotor replacement (335xi brake upgrade) o Rear brake caliper/pad/rotor replacement (335xi brake upgrade) o UUC stainless steel brake hose replacement o Parking brake replacement o Front Wheel Bearing Replacement o Rear Wheel Bearing replacement o Crank shaft position sensor o Intake manifold gasket replacement o Valve cover / valve cover gasket replacement o Ignition coil removal and replacement o Spark plug replacement o Most of the work required to change your starter motor o Most of the work for replacing the eccentric shaft position sensor ** I added a new PDF write-up on 4/24/2018 Some of the things I may move quickly through and there could be a few typos here or there. Hopefully this helps some people. Last edited by merz.38; 04-25-2018 at 11:52 PM.. |
