e90 oil pan leak

I have a 2011 328i with an automatic transmission and 85K miles on it. I might have to do a repair for an oil pan leak. I live in the SF bay area and wanted to see if there are any recommendations on a good and trustworthy repair shop in the area? What should something like this cost? Thanks

It might vary regionally, but I was quoted somewhere around 1500-2k (which I would never pay) from the dealer when I had my car in for a recall recently. If you’re not up for doing it yourself, find a reputable indy; they’ll be much cheaper.

I’ll also add that there are a lot of sources of oil leaks on an N52 engine. Be sure that you are asking for the right thing to be fixed before you bring it in.

One of my cars was worked on by this shop extensively, before I purchased. There was nothing amiss and they seemed to do good work, not sure about the rates though.

Bay Area: professional shop ~ $1,800 parts included (I just did mine).

Personally, would not let any Bay Area dealer touch my BMW anymore.
