BMW just gonna push 2022 schedule into 2023 production for M240I?
My vehicle has now extended from an original "shedule for production" of WEEK 8 to, as of today, now changed to WEEK 16.. maddening to say the least, and after seeing others post delayed production schedules.. starting to think BMW is just gonna dump this car into a 2023 slot and run with the new interior.. just easier for them to stop ordering parts for the end of this run (only about 8-10 weeks left now?).. and go ahead and stock up for a 2023 run.. Personally, I am not at all interested in the upcoming new dash

I had the chance to play with the iDrive 8 dash on an i4 edrive40. While I do lament the loss of those numbered custom hotkeys, I have the say the function of the dash I pretty good and the display is super sharp, like an Apple device. The climate is in there too but there is a fixed button at the center of the display at all times so u can jump direct to the screen in one push. For me, I typically leave on auto anyways so it's not something I adjust constantly. Seat heater on the other might suck to have to do two clicks to get to it but it's not so bad. On the upside, the car might become dated looking less quickly since it will become the standard for all cars in the lineup soon enough. I wonder if they would replace the dash so quickly as it might be a selling point to get the M2 unless of course you hate it. You don't think they would keep it until LCI?

My prediction is the i8 dash will be halfway through its life cycle with the refresh. 2024-2025
