Couin War Cemetry Northern France.
Last week me and the Missus when to a British war cemetery in northern France, to pay respect to her Great Granddad, who died in battler during the IWW.
The site was very near to Couin, but in the middle of nowhere. Most of those Lads laid to rest there, were in their 20's. Some as young as 18 Granddads Grave. It made us feel lucky for what we had and how these brave Souls, did what the did, so we could lead decent lives. Hope Granddad wouldn’t have objected to a bit of Germany engineering, I'm sure like him; there were many young Germany soldiers, who didn't want to be there. |

I've always wanted to go to northern France to the battle grounds of the WW, seeing the lines of graves really does put life in perspective and it shows how lucky we all really are.
The ultimate sacrifice for their country. |
