Well Boys, Looks Like We Picked The Right Platform

This is amazing. The G42 xDrive is taking extremely well to modifications.

I know not everyone here will ever go beyond a mostly stock m240i, but many of us would absolutely love building a high performance monster.

This M240i xDrive is now one of the fastest BMWs on the planet.

"On this episode we feature the quickest and fastest BMW in the world! The Shop CT brought out their absolutely insane BMW M240 XDRIVE to TX2K24. They set the record for quickest and fastest BMW running 7.9@175. We were able to see what the M240 is all about, Jaz from the shop CT takes us for a ride and things got pretty spicy. We started on map 2 and ended up trying out map 4 (full boost) for the first time on the street... it was WILD! Hope you guys enjoy this one!"

Good stuff. Also saw this one this morning, got it into the 8's with a stock block before he build it up, and could've probably dipped into the 7s with the built engine if he had gone with a 3.2 stroker instead of keeping it at 3.0L.

I've been hearing rumors of options beyond FEMTO. Any idea of where these updates would be coming from.

This is my first BMW, so I'm not really familiar with what companies or shops are at the forefront of development.

A 600 whp AWD Bimmer for a daily would be awesome

With an upgraded hybrid turbo and a tune NV Motorsports is doing 580, 2.8 0-60 solid daily driver, they had to limit the torque a bit with the stock trans.

Can you post some references to these rumours, would like to read up.

I would have to re-come across it on this forum. Just discussions involving FEMTO etc.

I don't remember where exactly I first heard about a US company supposedly getting near a DME unlock
