Anyone in Yorkshire with an ICOM that can help
Long shot really, but is there anyone in Yorkshire (even better South Yorkshire) with an ICOM that can code/help me code the Professional head unit on my E90? I've dabbled in coding myself (Bimmercode/link, NCSexpert), but I only have OBD cables and seem to be having trouble coding my head unit from 'Stereo' to 'Hifi'.
Car is 2011 so the changing build date isn't needed and I've tried pretty much everything I can find on the forums. Alternatively, I could remove the head unit and post it to someone if they're able to help. Last edited by wrongmark; 10-21-2022 at 12:30 AM.. |

It's just not working with the two different OBD cables I have. Using NCS, I've changed the VO and written it to the CAS and FRM and I can reset the 2RAD, but it just won't take. It doesn't seem to want to let me write it to the 2RAD and manually changing the file doesn't seem to be possible on the 2RAD without an ICOM.

Update: bought another cable and it now works. I’m able to code the 2RAD with no problems using NCS Expert now. Paid a bit more for this one from Amazon and it seems to be able to communicate with the car a lot quicker.

This is the one I went for. Some decent reviews and seems to work well for me.
