I personally haven't!
But I know majority of e46fanatics folks buy their vinyl from them, and they are very satisfied.
I would def go with matte black.

ok, someone educate me, and I'm being serious. Why would you, cover your roof in black vinyl, which obviously does not match the paint of the car? Is it along the same lines as when guys have a carbon fiber hood, and leave it black...as if that looks....good?

Just wondering.

thanks

agreed, color combos are nice. But having your whole entire hood, or roof...a different color almost says "I got in an accident and couldn't afford to paint the replacement part"

maybe I'm just too old to understand

I think tipping point explains it. There doesn't have to be any reason. I have never seen a car in person, but I googled it. It's very ugly to me. But then again, there was a phase where putting the Buick portholes on front fenders was cool. I know that when I got M floor mats, my car clearly handled better and was smoother on the road. I think I was getting 40 to 60 mpg on the highway until one of the mats ripped. Maybe vinyl roofs also make the car cheat the wind and go faster.

agreed John. I see many of these Buick portholes on cars, along with 24 inch wheels and every other product that pep boys sells attached to the car's exterior.

eh, like I said, just wondering. Funny how, what one person or group deems as "cool" can be looked at with a "wtf" glance by others. I'm sure, that because my car is stock, I could receive the same criticism.

I think it must be a young guy thing. Old guys like me (34) look at it and think, "Oh, that's some kids car." Then again, once I got past the age of 18 I stopped thinking aftermarket stuff looked cool. But, that's just my opinion.

I ordered matte black vinyl and will be doing my roof next week. It is not hard, but it takes lots of time and patience. There a tons of diy's on how to vinyl.
