rear single "bang" sound when taking sharp turn
330i 2006, 99k miles.
A few times over the last year I've had a nasty sound that sounds like a "bang" when taking sharp fast turn. It definitely feels through the cabin, almost like somoene rear-ended me. Everytime I related it to some pothole, or stones on the road when turning quick and sharp, but since last time the road seemed clear and once this happened it got me thinking - there must be an issue with suspention/differential? Differential - preventatively fluid flush 6 months ago (supposedly original fluid was there). Can't really think of any problem with it. Shocks - all original from late 2005 build. Perhaps spring is compressed too much being so old making such sound when more weight is transferred on one side under harsh turn? Discs and pads all around have been replaced around 1-2k miles ago, no issues there. I only have original parking shoes that sometimes giving me scraping noise after moving off. Probably unrelated.. Any ideas? |
