Anyone knows if there will be a MPErformance exhaust for the M240i xdrive?

Seems there will be for the M230i but not for the M24i xdrive

Is it because there no space for it since it's xdrive or simply because it will come "later on" ?

I bet it’s due to the euro OPF requirement. No way to make that work in a satisfactory way with an M performance exhaust. In Europe the days of great sounding exhausts are over, my guess it’s better to just accept that and move on if you’re in EU.

I’m in the US but personally I need to hear the stock exhaust before ordering the M perf exhaust.

I think BMW M Performance designers did some shopping in aliexpress. Also, BMW M division probably overstocked glossy black color so they are very generous with it.

From factory, yes. Most F-gen M Performance exhausts for N55 and B55 had a mid-pipe, I believe, which now with the OPFs in there would not be compatible. Hence only the M Performance muffler for G80 is sold in the EU, not the whole system.

There are still plenty ECE, OPF-friendly aftermarket exhaust systems on sale for petrol cars. AFAIK, as long as you leave the OPFs intact, you can do anything (except fitting cat-less downpipes). Depends on the country. In Germany, these aftermarket exhausts are also sometimes legal only if it is coupled with a complimentary ECU upgrade because only then, the car can be louder than from factory. It's complicated.

It's questionable, I agree. However i do like the new 2, I would spec it without those add ons.

In Europe, you best skip this one and go directly to the i4 M50. In Germany you'll get probably a serious extra compensation for opting for a zero emission vehicle on top!

No exhaust tuning required.

Front air inlets: jarringly ugly
Power dome surround stripes: pointless rice
Rear window M Performance Sticker: pointless
CF mirror caps: too busy
Side sticker: more pointless rice
Rear trunk/boot spoiler: uhm, no…

Going from bad to worse *sigh*

I admit it's not bad from the front, but that rear end... something is just off about it and I think it's the odd design of the lights.

Agreed. And why can’t any 2 series have less chunky tail lights.

Hope those decals are hints at elements that will be on the M2 ( hood dome, rear fender flare).

I really like the design of the M240, it has really grown on me. However, with the BMW Performance "extra's" it actually makes the car look worse. Most of the exterior add-on's are a no-go in my book, even the wheels don't look quite right on the car. The interior pieces are very nice though.
