That's the way to go, the chrome trim doesn't look good imo. I think shadowline is more proper for the car.

Excellent photography! I can for some reason foresee the G series M2 to look very aggressive with these pictures

Thanks for sharing. There are three parts that I dislike in this car:

- Headlights
- Front triangle
- Taillights

These are less visible in darker colors like blue and black, but I hope they can get improved for the face-lift / M2.

Agree, I find photos hit or miss on this car. Its overall not bad and much better than a lot of BMW's recent efforts, but a few areas could definitely use some touch ups to make them less awkward.

That's how I'd spec the exterior.

I saw a PB M240i today, it’s a great color for this car!
(Ours will be BSM with extended shadowline, a combo I have yet to see in pictures or IRL)

I don’t get why so many people complain about the design of the taillights.I have seen the car in person and they look perfect with the rear design of the G42.

IMO they look way better than the narrow ones they put on the G22.

Agreed, the rear end with some side profile visible is the best most interesting angle IRL.

See I'm on the opposite side of the fence here lol I think the M240I would look much better with the taillights extending more into trunk like all the other current BMW models. To me it almost looks like the older Scion tC/BRZ but still waiting to see it in person. Im definitely curious how the M2 will look!

The new 2 is a winner - looks good. Forward design but not too forward like some other recent BMWs.

I actually think bicolor wheels with shadowline trim is a good combo too.

I think black wheels are over used these days lol so I prefer something with a little more style

I saw a PB with M797 today at a local dealer, looks so good.
It did not have extended shadow line but was still gorgeous.
