Depending on options that piece houses a camera.

At least in black the side skirts/rocker panels are almost the right color.

Really disappointed this has no 6MT. With everything they have done to this, it really is enough car for most vs an m2.

Agreed. If they somehow offered a 6MT at LCI I might get another M240 instead of the M2 I plan to get. But the manual is going the way of the dodo everywhere.

I am going to miss the manual in my VW Golf when my m240 arrives, however gaining features like remote start is going to be nice for the winter months.

Sheesh dealers are marking them up???

I ordered mine from a large dealer here in Santa Ana and was informed they wouldn't/can't go over MSRP (roughly $54k).

There's one down the street in Irvine that marks up every vehicle due to the lack of inventory and due how close they're to the more "affluent" areas.

I'm still having PTSD from when they quoted me for $939 a month for a M440i after 6k down. At that price point you begin to consider the M4… anyways, I digress.
Ya, why not? It's about time we put some heft behind the brand. If Benz and Porsche, hell, even Kia can ask for over MSRP, why can't we? After all, we are a luxury brand that has more demand than any other brand out there right now.

And yes, I just recently quoted an M440i GC which came out to $949 a month at sticker. It's the lack of rebates and low residual coupled with no discounts.

Plus M3/4 are no less than $10k anywhere you go. Leases on them are around $1400-$1500 a month so being under a grand for the 440 is a good deal in comparison.
Who is this "we" you keep speaking of?

LOL - what dealership do you work for?

Unlike Porsche and MB which have several highly desirable models, BMW really doesn’t offer anything nearly as engaging.

Personally I would not pay over MSRP on any car unless its a limited production item and something I plan to keep long term.
And there are many like yourself. I am a consumer that won't pay over sticker either but that's not to say we should discredit those who do. Something is worth what someone is willing to pay.

Things are hot right now but they inevitably cool off, and the guys that shaft me now will lose my future business forever.

I still refuse to touch one of my local dealers; they jerked me around when I was trying to get the recalled Takata airbags on my E90 replaced. Since then I've bought two cars from their competition.

Dude...calm down. You work for a dealership, nothing to do with the Brand BMW.

I hope the online sales will kick all greedy dealerships at some point!

How exactly do you consider that greed? It's simple supply and demand. Right now there's a massive demand with limited supply and people are paying MSRP or more for vehicles because they want the car.

You sound like you're having a tough time adjusting to the current market. Did you stop going to the gas station to because they raise their prices? Did you stop buying meat because beef doubled in price?

Trust me, none of us like paying more but people who have the means to do so are doing it and you complaining makes you sound like a cheap skate.

Exactly. So be careful what you wish for. Imagine a decade from now you don't get to negotiate your prices and you have to pay sticker because the competitive dealer concept is gone and the auto industry has turned into an Apple store.

That would be perfect! I would choose the dealership with the best service. It's not I do negotiating on my Amazon order.

In couple years the dealer will be a contractor only getting a firm amount from the manufacturer. It started already in other parts in the world!

Buying a new car is just super annoying because of the dealerships but online buying is coming soon.
