Yup I had marked on my calendar 11/17. I believe this video was a just a day early.

Planning to watch lots of media on it tomorrow, but don't expect any revelations.

It's basically a slightly lighter, smaller m340i with more aggressive styling. Upgraded from the F series, it now has a LSD & +47hp from the B58TU, but also 100kg.

I'm most interested in seeing it person to judge the exterior for myself to be honest. I'll have to cycle over to my dealership soon as I believe they have a Mineral White one in.

There’s a lot of focus on the weight of the G42 and it’s understandable but when you see this car parked next to a G20/G22 or even next to my F80 it looks tiny in comparison.

Similar weight doesn’t mean it will handle similarly. The smaller dimensions are almost as important. I.e. I doubt it will feel very close to the 3/4 in a back to back track session.

BMWBlog posted a pic a couple hours ago stating, "we're hours away from the BMW M240i test drives."

So I'm assuming they mean midnight.

wow, fast as we hoped 0-60 well under 4 seconds... this guy loves the M240 and pushed it a bit also, looks & sounded great
