M-like exhaust tips for m240i?

Hi, has anyone researched whether replacing the rectangle exhaust tips on the m240i with the cylinders like those on M cars?

If so, what does that research show? Safe to do so? Can a dealer even do it? If not, is there a known, reputable place to go to get something like this done?

Arent those fake tips part of the rear fascia? Can they be removed? If so, Im sure you could have a competent exhaust shop fab you something up. What about an aftermarket exhaust system like the M-Sport, or Fabspeed if/when they make one?

Yes it can be done. The tips are attached to the bumpers with screws and can be removed. If you go on the M340 forum you will see couple of people that did replace their exhaust with ones that have round tips.

Really? I'd love to do dual, or even quad tips on mine. I searched the G20 forum but only found one thread, do you have any links to posts where the tips only were changed?
