New Product - Swift Spec-R Sport Springs for your E9x 335i
Swift made Sport Springs Spec-R is made for true track racing enthusiasts that wants to take their vehicle to the next level.
Sport Springs Spec-R is engineered with 2 main characteristics. 1 Redesign lowering ride height to maximize the suspension performance allowing the vehicle to fully absorb road condition for maximum traction. 2 Increase in spring rate to further enhance cornering speed through entry & exit. The increase in spring rate is based on the vehicle factory stock valving settings. Sport Springs Spec-R is increase to the optimal rate that the stock shocks can handle. Higher performance shocks are not required, but recommended. Spec R springs are wound with the same engineering as our sports springs. With the exception of stiffer rates and slight change in ride height; you can expect the same characteristics as our sports springs. H5S.TW Motorsport's most advanced spring material Swift made a name for itself on the tracks of Asia, Europe, and U.S. by defying all accepted concepts and speculations about the future, if any, in coil spring science. When many other company were looking at expensive and brittle titanium composites to create the next evolution of springs, Swift was looking at reinventing the entire science of coil spring dynamics. Swift saw that most others are using the old regular silicone chrome material, which was not strong enough. It used a heat tempering method that damaged the strength of the material that requiring more coils, in turn, more weight. The material was also suffering from a short life span. With springs like this leading the industries, Swift saw room for improvement. Swift's R & D team created material, called H5S.TW, which is stronger then regular silicone chrome material. Because of this material, we could make the spring wire thinner, and could wind the springs with fewer coils, which greatly decreased weight while dramatically increasing available stroke. 335i lowering: 1" in the front and 0.8" in the rear. Spring rate: -4kg/mm or 223 lb/in in the front -11kg/mm or 615 lb/in the rear Retail: $449 Introductory price: $336.75 and free shipping! I have another question, my car back tires are rubbing with more than three people in the car. If I decided to go with swift springs with what i assumed is a higher spring rate than stock springs, would rubbing of the tires subside?
swift springs rate: -4kg/mm or 223 lb/in in the front -11kg/mm or 615 lb/in the rear or buy Swift Metric Coilover Springs with higher weight? 800lbs +? |

Is the 1"/0.8" numbers from base or sport suspension?
And do you recommend Koni's with these springs?

How are these for a DD? I want improved street handling, especially reduced body roll in the corners and a slightly lower ride height but I don't want to sacrifice too much in overall comfort. I, unfortunately, won't be tracking any time soon and wonder if these will be too stiff and possibly overkill for the street?
These will work on stock sport struts/shocks, correct? Then when I do upgrade, you would pair these with Koni yellows? Thanks. |

You can use them with stock struts and shocks but I highly recommend them with Koni Yellows, which are on sale now for $590 for 135i/335i. |

Harold, since you are the resident expert
For a DD with just a little spirited driving(e93 she's a heavy one) what setting do you suggest for the Konis when paired with swift spec r. Ill likely be making this my next upgrade as I am not fond of the stock sport settings at all, and the front sits way too high I'm hoping I won't have rubbing issues with 19x8.5 F and 19x9.5R on 235/35F and 265/30R |

These springs are higher rate than "sport package" and are also linear rate for more consistent handling. I recommend upgrading the struts and shocks to Koni Yellows for much improved damping.

I suggest upgrading to Koni Yellows only and set the dampers to about 50% front and 80% rear for the added rear weight. No, these are meant for OE struts or similar. Last edited by HP Autosport; 03-31-2014 at 12:21 AM.. |

Well crap that sucks. I absolutely hate that the rear rides lower than the front does by like 1.5". Really didn't want to spend the cash on coil overs but maybe KW street comfort will be next then.
Come on settlement check |
