"This week I 'ave been mainly wearing" my Sewills chronometer. A lovely, delicate old thing, if I say it myself 😊

Here is a scenario…I looking at pre owned Rolex Sub no date. Not the worst problem to have!!!
There are 2 options (both have papers and box). Keen to get views. I’m not buying the watch to flip it. There is a real risk that it now loses value. But this is something I have wanted for years! Option 1 - pre owned from Laings AD. It’s a 2021 124060 £10.8k. Watch is currently being serviced at Rolex. So should come in good condition. Option 2 - pre owned from an online seller. It’s been described as a 2024 124060 unworn model. £10.3k. I’m pretty risk averse - so thinking option 1 would be safer option as I can go to a reputable shop and increase my buying power. But it’s an older watch. Do feel I’m overthinking this….and advice / comments appreciated! Thanks in advance. |

Based in Glasgow so you should be able to see the watch in person ?
Option 1 being serviced at Rolex through an established place like Laings will mean it is 100% authentic , in my mind and being far from an expert with option 2 there will be a doubt that it is a good fake. Are those the advertised prices or the "haggled" price ? I bought my DeepSea from here : https://www.thewatchroom.com/product...date-41mm-2024 Dont let the guys second name put you off. K |

Buying from somewhere like Laings will always bring a premium, but as you say, you're on "the system" should you wish to buy again in the future (at retail preferably!).
Flawless prices for 2024 unworn Subs are creeping ever closer to £10k. That would be my choice over an older model. The Rolex warranty will transfer anyway. |

To add, I've looked at Flawless WhatsApp prices - end of April he had a no-date Sub under £10k, so I'd be haggling on his price.

Following the theme too......
Well we all know they copy the style. Love my SKX009 auto bought around 25 some years ago been through a lot of hard knocks and still does exactly what it says on the tin. Value for money has been tremendous. Consistantly runs 1minute a day fast but seeing what I've put it through, it's acceptable. I've replace the Jubilee strap with a new original and put a new inset to the bezel (not original), just can't stop wearing it despite the others in the box.
