Smile 50 years M heritage hub caps self-installation (tape method) super easy!

It really is as easy as using tape to pull the center hub caps off the wheels. You absolutely do not want to remove your wheels just so you can push out the caps from the center. That is a certified pain in the ass.

I was most worried about damaging the paint on the center caps, but the gorilla brand duct-tape I used didn't pull anything off. The thing I was the most worried about was ripping off the paint from the hub cap while still not being able to get it out and then being in trouble. If the tape you're using is at least decent quality duct-tape you should be able to retry without damage (within reason).

Personal Notes/Tips:
  • Use good quality duct-tape with a lot of sticki-ness. Can confirm gorilla tape is sufficient.
  • Make an o-shape, cover as much surface area on the hub cap as you can.
  • Pull it off super quick, like rug-pulling fast. Should come out with a little pop.
  • You don't have to go out of your way to buy automotive-mounting tape unless you want to. If you do, make a T shape.

I spent more time walking over and sitting down next to each tire than I did actually removing the hub cap. You can reuse your O or T. I reused mine once, and then made a new one, but you could probably get away with using your remover tape on all four if you really wanted to.

0/10 difficulty, < 5 minutes install. I would not pay a single cent for labor if I were you.

GU10 bulb remover works great too and can be had for pennies but probaly not worth buying unless you're going to do this often.

I've found the suction end of my gf's dildo works great, and entertains the neighbors as well.
