Rogue IKON Exhaust for 328i e92?

On youtube there are several videos of what is purported to be an e92 328i with Rogue Engineering IKON exhaust. Sounds pretty good from inside the car.

Unfortunately, it's still not listed as a product on Rogue Engineering's website. Maybe soon. This car could use just a touch more sound, although mine is getting a bit louder as it breaks in (400 miles so far).

How do you rate this exhaust mod relative to you other mods?

well, compared to the gruppe m replica, on a scale of 0-10, the gruppe m replica would be about a 3 and the ikon will be about a 7 in terms of loudness

Thanks for the post! I have been unsuccessful trying to search for threads on 328 e92 exhaust.

I want a little more sound but not a lot, just deeper and more character when I'm "on it" with the windows down.

I maybe should wait until I can hear one in person.

Does anyone else have an exhaust for e92 328? I heard SuperSprint?

How is the overall fitment of the 2 exhaust? What was done to the ikon, in order to make it fit? It seems that there was a few inches of pipe added, was that it?

the fitment is very good, i havent had problems with it yet, and yes the few inches of piping was added to get the proper fitment, but that was it, nothing else was changed

I just had my Rogue IKON installed and it's AWESOME. It fit like a glove. I didn't even need the extra piece of pipe put on. The 2 pipes butted up against each other just perfectly. The sound is just what I was looking for. Just a nice added tone.

It sounds amazing if you do the resenator delete near the muff.

I like it the way it is now. Even that is a tad loud. I just wanted it to sound a bit louder than the sewing machine it was.

I'll chime in here as well. I just installed it on my 328i e90 and it definitely sounds better than stock. It has a deeper sound, but not overly obtrusive. I started a thread which includes videos.

Kid Eh and ehhhwik,
Did you buy the exhaust for non-E92 or is it just not listed on Rogue's website? How much did installation cost?
It sounds really good on everyone's clips, I can't get enough though.
Kid, post some pics and clips!

yea, ive asked a lot of people on the forum (including some BMW techs) and they all said that the mufflers of 325, 328 and 330 are exactly the same, there is a small difference for 330, but its very small, so basically any exhaust made for the e90 325/330 CAN be installed on the 328

damn it, if it wasn't for my baby at the shop, i will go out and rev it for you guys

^ +1

The 325/330 exhaust is the same for the 328i e90 and e92. i've seen an ikon on a 330 and compared it to mine and it fits the same.

I got mine from Eric at SPP. $450.00 plus shipping. Installation took 20 minutes. Cost me like $40.00. My car looks exactly like ehhhwiks so his pictures will do the same. The sound is the same as the clips. I'll try to post both at some point. Maybe this weekend.

bump

Does the muffler hang much lower than stock? (is it also much wider?)
Also is the exhaust tip/pipe the same diameter as stock 328/330? I'm wondering if there is any way put my slanted tips on top.

Thanks in advance, I think this might be my first major mod. :rocks:
(although my co-worker keeps pushing for Eisenmann)

it does hang a little lower compared to stock, thats why i've painted it flat black colour with high-heat resistant paint or else it looks kind of silly with a chromed out exhaust from the under the car, but its really up to you

I have all the respect in the world for Eisenmann, but IKON is 50% or more cheaper than the equivalent Eisenmann exhaust and everyone has said that there are only microscopic differences in sound and performance, go figure

I'm sure Eisenmann sounds great in person but from the clips, I actually kind of prefer the IKON--maybe because it is more subtle!

ehhhwik, can you comment on the pipe diameter size? I wish Rogue had double walled tips or slanted ones for the coupes!

The pipes are bigger. Your tips won't fit on them. I tried. I think they look good the way they are though. Eric at SPP recommended the flat black paint for me too. He actually painted it for me before sending it. Great guy.
