I suspect parking lights vs DRL would equal the ignition being on. I doubt that is the case with the second photo, but this is a EU spec car so who knows.

The Non-Shadowline headlights appears more like a 3000-4000 K and the Shadowline a 7000-8000 K.

Yup, I agree. And I personally didn't think the first pic was non shadowline to begin with. The brow of the shadowline lights can look bright depending on how the light hits it. Look at the pic attached from the press photos which appears to be the exact same car. I'm guessing it looks yellow here due to the sunset and possibly a slight photoshop.

To me the non shadowline lights have a very obviously silver brow.

That's an amazing research, T_U_D!

Whoa… not so fast, as per BMWsForMe and atl_1M this might not be the elusive non-Shadowline headlights.

I just came across this video - although I cannot certainly identify a gold strip in any of these shots (closest look being at 1:12), the lighter brow in the headlight is patently obvious. All of this paired with the clearly visible darkened exhaust tips leaves me extremely confused.

Could this just be written off as a pre production model or something?

When the M2 leaks first began (bumpers and lights), I remember a post of the M2 headlights with a very bright and visible bronze/gold strip. Can't seem to find that post, but I suspect those were the standard full LED units. It shows that same gold tint on the US configurator when Shadowline Package isn't selected.

Shadowline headlight video. The black is really sleek. Maybe I do want these after all!

This is a link I found on YouTube and I suppose is a French spec car? But good resource for referencing non-shadow line headlight:
https://youtu.be/ynjJz3UJ9BE @12:24

Seems like although top is silver but no yellow tint at the bottom and if US spec car is like this, I won’t mind at all!

Anyone can help me with black tip genuine partnumber or advise me a link to buy? I’ve ordered my g87 without 7m9 package and it is coming with chrome tip which I deslike.

Could someone confirm if 3mf(shadow line) only affects headlights? I am not sure if also applies to tailights.

I'm swapping my Active Autowerke valved rear section for the OEM one (can't handle the cold start), and I ordered Active Autowerke CF tips to replace the OEM black chrome ones.

I'm sure we can work out a deal if you want my stock tips.

No, tail lights stay the same.

It affects the headlights and exhaust tips.

I understand violent cold starts coming from a v8 with long tubes lol. Only parked backed into garage and started with garage door closed.

That said the inline 6 with twins is SUPER quiet for my taste even in sport + hence going AA EL mid to help a bit. But that said, even with your full setup (dp + mid + ab), is the cold start actually loud or just louder compared to oem? Any clips by chance? Just curious.
