G42 Headlights Coding

Is there a feature in BimmerCode that would allow me to turn off my headlights while the car is moving at night?

No, but there is a physical button
You cannot turn off your DRLs tho.

Whenever I press it at night it says “lights off not available while driving”

I guess many safety features are mandatory? Just like not being able to move the car with the door open even slightly. Wanted to move just a little down my driveway. Had the door open a bit, and the car would put itself back into "Park".

Question: Why would you want to turn off your lights while driving at night?

The way my house is set up the neighbors get mad when I back into my driveway with the lights on at night

Try stopping, then switching them off. According to the manual, “depending on the national market version, the low beam headlight may be switched off in the low speed range”.

You may be trying to turn them off before your reversing manoeuvre.

It’s an option in OBDeleven app so must be a way in bimmercode. Probably in expert mode.

Haha I was gonna say maybe they prefer the high beams. Imagine that call to the coppers my neighbors headlights bother me for less than a minute while they park in their driveway.

also check OFF_UN_MAKIN_ZIE_GETAWAY
You can compare with ECE coding data and check the differences

Have you coded it yourself? I don’t really want to mess around in expert mode not knowing if what I’m doing is even safe.

Never tried that, usually the first one works. You can always revert the coding. Just make sure you are know what you are changing or have backups.

I made sure to set my dlr to be off and as soon as I go over 13-14 mph and press the off button it says “lights off not available while driving” I’m wondering if there’s a setting to disable or at least increase that speed to something higher

You modify the fa and change to ECE then generate both coding files and check the differences
