08 335 build
Since i sold my old 335 i have been itching to get another one and rebuild. i really regret selling the car and part of the fun for me is to modify and customize, so....
i got another one got it from a local member (i think his for sale topic is still active ) i am not going to lie, Travis was fairly accurate on his description, nevertheless car was rougher than i had anticipated when i pick it up. pretty nasty valve cover gasket and oil filter housing leaks (oil all over the place around the engine) 87,000 miles of carbon deposits (no catch can), coils and spark need it replacement, Cobb tune was not good, had a bunch of ghost codes stored, couple bulbs gone, wheels were straight but finish was gone, no batteries on remote controls, normal wear on driver's seat few dings here and there, etc, etc, etc. still...car has a well documented service history, low on miles, no waste gate rattle, great factory options, no smoking and my favorite combo...alpine white and coral red. long story short, drover her home 240 miles same day. i will use this to document progress. from seller post: first thing first: cleaning/detailing...OMG she was filthy valves after then maintenance, so far (in preparation to Pure 600 turbos upgrade) -New valve cover and gasket -New Vanos Solenoids (both) -New Boost Solenoids -New Vacuum lines -New Oil Filter Housing kit (including gaskets, bolts and sensor) -New AA intercooler -New AA Charge Pipe and VOV -New Coils and NGK Spark -New turn Signals -LED Angel eyes -New LED bulbs replacement (all of them) -New Belt, Tensioner and pulleys -New wheels and Continental Tires -Replace OEM front bumper with Mtech front bumper, grills and new fog lights -BMS dual cone intake -xHP stage 3 transmission flash -Custom stage 2 tune by Active (for now) -New Tints -Liquid Molly Oil change Waiting to be installed: -Custom steering wheel coming from Latvia -Catch Can -M3 slider armrest -New Rotors (zimmermann) -Pads (akebono) -Sensors -Complete brake flush -SS lines (ECS tuning) -transmission service (fluid, gaskets, pan, liquid and all solenoids) -M3 control Arms -Sway Bar -Pure 600 turbos -VRSF SS inlets 2" -VRSF Aluminum Outlet -Spool Performance Stage 3 LPFP with ethanol sensor and new lines -Helix HPFP overdrive Unit as it sits right now: interior interior repair used this kit (perfect coral red match) clean engine bay more to come |
