KW Automotive
I've had my KW Street Comfort coilovers on about 9 months now including one winter. The other day I noticed the coating on one spring was peeled in a few spots and the metal rusting. There's a one year warranty on their coating. I e-mailed KW last night with my order receipt and pics and today they replied and placed an order for a new one. Quick and easy. It sucks it failed in the first place, but they handled it without hassle.
EDIT: Spring arrived a few days ago, about two weeks to receive like they said it'd take (shipped from Germany). Last edited by Dagstar; 05-21-2023 at 03:12 PM.. Reason: updated |

Yeah, I've had the v3s on for about 4 years now, almost 60k and they still ride like new. I put a thin layer of moly lube on the shock rods and very nice difference.
I did notice one of the springs starting to rust, just like you say. And one of the plastic black covers has exploded and mostly disappeared. I'm not sure how that happened. I do recall an incident in a construction zone that felt really bad. The v3s are a little stiff for daily driving, but the travel is amazing. It's a really good kit. I had the Bilstein b16 and couldn't get them low enough, also stiffer. Good as well though, but kw did a great job with these shocks. I would buy them again no hesitation. Handling is good but need sway bars to really do anything, so much roll. I also sprayed some rust inhibitor on them. Adjustable sway bar end links are good too once lowered |
