Red handbrake symbol - what does it mean?

My car 2007 335i is showing a red handbrake on symbol (Red exclamation mark within a red circle) but the handbrake is off. Came up when I restarted my car after letting it stand for 2 hours. When I use the stalk to "check control" it just shows me a red car on a lift symbol. From what I can tell the ABS is working fine, the hill assist is fine, brake reservoir shows MAX fluid and the outer brake pads on each corner look like they have enough pad material left. MHD shows no error codes. I have lost the physical manual so I am looking at this

https://www.e90post.com/goodiesforyo...anbrochure.pdf - page 148 shows worn brake pads for Canadian models but mine is a UK model and brake pads dont look that worn unless it is complaining about the inner brake pads.

https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=349323 - second post here shows DBC malfunctioning.

Which one would it be?

Thanks.

If anyone comes across this later then go to check control and hold the bc button, if it gives you CCID 71 then it’s for rear brake pad sensor indicating worn out pads.
