I’m writing to ask about this pricing on a 335is i’m looking at, it has 129xxx miles, for 12k, i carfaxed the car and it says the worth is 9.6k. It does have modifications, like idex 12s, fbo, the usual. It does leak coolant as of right now, and has lots of service, like fuel pump, rod bearings etc.

Market determines value, not carfax. You can't find a decent 335is for under $10k unless somebody isn't familiar with the market--it would be gone in a day.

Modifications could impact the value in a positive or negative way, but FBO doesn't seem to affect value much. Maintenance records are crucial, don't take anybody's word something has been done if they can't prove it.

Without knowing the condition, history, how many owners, etc. it's hard to gauge but $12k is on the cheap end of 335is's and if everything checks out, that's a fair deal.
