So i'm buying a 2007 335i from my dad next week and I've already purchased an intake to install after I get the car. Would these scoops help to channel cooler air into the engine bay and help increase the efficiency of the conicals on the intake?

The car is halfway across the country so I can't look at it myself to visualize what's in place behind the grille with the stock airbox and accessories.

I've been stalking this forum for a few weeks now and I tried the search function to see if this had already been answered to no avail...

In theory, air scoops help provide more cool air to the airbox, thus assisting in heat soak prevention allowing the car to make optimal power for a longer time.
