I agree as the M driver's is way too expensive for what it is. But it's not 5+ months. 3 is more like it. They're not starting production until December right?

BMW bundled the seats instead of offering them separately, forcing buyers to pick all or nothing. If you don't mind then pony up. If you were talking about the CS or even the Competition model maybe, but $80k for a base M2?

No sir.

Lol at this. Dude if you want the bucket seats you pay the $10k. But it's not a base M, it has the carbon package.
Why are you even talking about "tag/title, dealers fees, markup, taxes, and financing" you have that in every single car you buy. What does that even have to do with the price of this car and it being affordable or not? The only thing that even changes is the taxes but you have to pay all of that anyway.
I was doing the math to gauge total cost out the door "Dude". I'll have to go without the Carbon seats, which I hoped were offered separately like the Carbon Roof or just get something else. It is what it is.

I believe people are simply mistaken. Manual BMWs aren't going to park themselves while the driver works the clutch. You'll see when we learn more.

You're being unreasonable with your constant complaints on the cost of this vehicle.

I totally get it, inflation aside, 62k+ is still a lot of money for an automobile but BMW was never going to give it to you for free, so here we are and when you look at it in relative terms, you are getting a lot more standard features in comparison to its predecessor or current competitors.

I'm not a BMW apologist, quite the opposite; as I actually maintain an active mistrust of everyone and everything but aside from its questionable design elements, when you look at the big picture, this is really good package for the what they are asking for.

Relax, some folks in their 3,800lbs BMW really live their life a quarter mile at a time - on their way to pick up groceries or the kids from school..

Heh. No offense to Quadruple VANOS, but the whole "No carbon seats for me; I need a comfortable and practical daily driver" and "I'm not buying this car until I can option it with wheels that require a locomotive torque wrench to remove/install" is somewhat comical.

Kind of. It's not like I'm personally removing wheels myself these days. I pay to have that taken care of just like I don't do my own oil changes.

Sure, but if/when you get a flat, or need the tires replaced... good luck finding a shop that can handle them (let alone roadside assistance).

At least it'll make for a good theft deterrent.

Your logic doesn't hold up. I sit in the car every time I use it; yet I pretty much never remove the wheels myself. Can you see my perspective?

Go browse Rennlist about what GT owners think about centerlock wheels. (Spoiler: Look cool, huge PITA)

I'm entirely familiar with the topic. I've removed/installed countless center lock wheels in the past. IMO people blow up the issue as a way to talk themselves out of spending the money. I'm going into this completely comfortable with the benefits and drawbacks. The anti-theft aspect is HUGE for me…. Combine with the light weight and I'm totally in.

Why does weight matter if it's significantly faster around a track than a similarly priced P-Car

And it's all so tiresome. At least most of the F87 "my car just exploded in value" dweebs effed off back to their own forum.

Adding to this, why does weight matter so much when majority of you will never track your M car (or any other car) to begin with?

"because I can feel the weight when I'm taking an exit at 45 mph" yeah, okay

It sounds like there's a lot of hand wringing here.

It's already been proven that this is far more cost effective than the F87 in 2019/2020 dollars along with newer technology and standard features.

BMW has always maintained a business model of standard features plus chargeable options - I'm not sure why this is a surprise.

Personally for me, this is the best bang for the buck compared to a G80/2 and priced just right. I realize it's an apples to oranges comparison to the M3/4, but BMW will sell these like hotcakes.
