Gonna let her break in first!

I'm actually pretty happy with the power so far. I've actually been driving in eco because it doesn't neuter the car like BMWs eco mode. It just seems to limit the amount of boost, but not to the point where the car is a dog.

Put all the hype aside and it's just a Ford Bronco. Not like you're looking at a G Wagon. Of course it'll look cheap.

+1. Some times cheap, less eye pleasing is more efficient. I’m worried I’m going to need the buddy method getting the doors on and off vs the wrangler where the hinges are easier to align and know you’re in or off. Already seen posts of mishaps of bronco door drops trying to get them back on.

if its like the f150s eco mode, it just changes the shift points and throttle mapping so you arent in to boost as much. IIRC from logs, it also doesnt give you full 100% throttle when you put the pedal to the floor.

I haven't floored it yet since I'm trying to be a good boy with break-in. Luckily it goes back to my wife tomorrow so she can get the tint done and drive without worries about getting fried. I've enjoyed my 3 days with it. Just filled her up and I can definitely tell the dealership didn't put premium in, you can definitely feel the difference in the ecoboosts.

I can say it will do 90 without drama.

My '95 YJ was so pleasant to take the doors off. Half doors, no heavy glass window, no electrical connector. Poly strap for a door brake. Just 1, 10MM nut to remove. It maybe weighed 15 pounds.

I rigged up bicycle fisheye mirrors that slipped into the hinge with a custom bushing I turned on the lathe at work in the machine shop. Kept the mirrors in the center console when not in use.

The new Bronco is more of a take the doors off for the season deal. I just received my Broncover last week. Leaving it in the shipping box until spring.

Yeah I've seen those posts too. We have some rubber mats that interconnect for workout floors so if we ever take off the doors, I'll stack a few up.

It can't be any harder than wrestling a 1966 mustang door with all the components installed back on.

I would pass on the new one. However, the old ones are getting rebuilt in some custom build and looking interesting IMHO

I bet if you look in the manual it says something similar to my BRZ. It says to keep it under 4k RPM "unless in an emergency" for the first 1k miles.

I've had a few "emergencies" in the first 475 miles so far.

Which 1k is a ridiculous amount of miles, modern vehicles are "broken in" before you get through the first tank of fuel.

I've had a couple "emergency" situations too, like a wide open road!

im a firm believer in breaking it in like you typically drive it.

ive also tuned every car ive ever bought new within the 1st 2 weeks of owning them.

If you need to baby the car so it doesnt break, its not a good car. With todays technology in cars, and the amount of safeties in place in them, there shouldnt be much of a concern of breaking in an engine.

There isn't. It's some kind of weird CYA lawyer stuff about learning the new car and such.

Can anyone name all the Bronco easter eggs?
