It will be one of my mods to consider for sure. I guess you aligned it with just adjusting the different screws?

Can you post a link? I'm not getting Todd item when I search akdriftpower. The first result looks similar but there's no Style A option

I got my Aliexpress today. One concern tho. The welded connection looks thin. New to modification of exhaust so forgive me if I'm talking nonsense. Is there a risk that the welding could melt under the exhaust gas? Thanks!

Do you guys use Loctite or anything to keep it more secure? What's the procedure to remove the old tips? any sort of video or step-by-step instructions?

Alright I feel stupid. I get the Allen key part. But the nut that’s in the inside of these exhaust tips, what are we supposed to do with that?

its there so you can adjust the the screw and then secure it with the bolt outside.

Just got mine yesterday, and they look awesome, well worth the money. Shipping is $40, but they ship DHL and I got delivery to eastern US in 7 days from the order date. So the higher shipping charge isn't (entirely) an annoying way of charging more for the item, as I expected it was.

So I also took the plunge and ordered myself a set of quad tips on alieexpress. I went with the full black stainless steel (I just don’t like carbon fiber on my car).
Got them in 8 days after ordering (Belgium)

I got them installed by a mechanic… and happy I did, as they needed about 2 hours and lots of tweaking and modifying the bolts to get it right.

Here’s how it looks.

Hi Nicolas,

Many thanks for your details given + the photos, it's been the first all black tips i've seen and they look gorgeous.

2h for setting them up looks too much at first impression but since you mentioned they tweaked bolts, could you please share with us what kind of modifications were required and why? With the bolts they came did they hang too much or they were not tied solid enough ?

If you have a photo about the before/after the changes of the bolts that'd be brutal.

Thanks in advance Nicolas05

Maybe I exaggerated a bit, but just to say it wasn't as 'plug and play' as they say... we have tried different ways of installing. Probably now that we've done it once, we could manage it it 45 minutes.
But basically the nuts that are set in the inside to tighten are almost impossible to reach. So we've now put these on the outside to have better access to tighten it all down. And changed out some bolts to screw easier.
I have taken some quick pictures underneath my car, so you can see the installation. Hope these help! :-)

But these tips are definately a great option and you can order them with ease! They fit great...

Has anyone seen any similar issue?

I kind of figured these weren't high quality. If they last me a year I'll be happy, and will shop around for something else, maybe the all metal ones that someone else posted

I wonder if some kind of coatings could help the situation, wax or a high-heat clear coat?

Maybe coat the entire thing with this stuff? Reading through the asked questions, one guy successfully used it on a turbo.

On the other hand, the nuts inside are used so that the bolts do not unscrew. Placing the nuts outside does not tighten to anything. I think it would be wiser to insure them with locitite.

I installed these onto my car and I put the nuts on the outside on top of the already welded nuts. Wasn't it supposed to be this way I don't think it will make a difference what side they are on? Feel very secure to me.(need a spoiler to make the back end look a bit more finished off)
