Thumbs up RG Sport - MSS Sport Adjustable Ride System for G42 2-Series ** NOW AVAILABLE **

Good news for your guys with G42 2-series that is looking to lower your ride.

MSS UK just released their G42 Height Adjustable Spring.
Lowering range is up to 25mm front and up to 30mm rear.

I personally have had a great success with their product since 2020 when I had it installed on my F97 X3M Competition.
Since then, I have been selling and installing MSS Spring on many BMW G Chassis and some F Chassis.

With a courtesy of AutoID and MSS UK, here are the pictures that I received today.

I do have them in stock and ready to ship as we speak, so feel free to DM or visit my website.

Just installed one to local customer, paired with H&R Spacer 15/15 setup.
It rides much better than stock and more balanced.

PM me if any of you guys interested, I can do special introductory pricing on a few sets.

The MSS Kit is the same as their existing G series kit (G20, etc) - same part number, etc. They've just "released" / validated it for the G42 recently.

I haven't tried it, but you should be able to use the Extra low kit from G80.

Hmmm, how can I confirm this besides biting the bullet lol - Is it a 1/2” drop
more over the regular MSS front and back ?

Well, the G80 extra low kit is almost an inch lower than regular setup.
And the rear on the G42 that I've done still have another 10mm to go down.
So, that will get you to the drop that you want.

Unfortunately, BMW doesn't share data on their factory spring rates. Nor MSS and a few other company.
Usually only true coilover shares their spring rates.

Installed these a few weeks ago. I have them at 1.1” in the front and a .8” in the rear. I’m rocking the all season black wheels (792m?) and I have 17mm spacers in front and 12mm in the rear. Thing sits super super clean now. This car needed more raking in the front and it was to buy M440 springs, but then I found these. And the rake offsets the hood bulge and has it squatted like the old M2.
I have Gram Lights 57DR in 9.5” x4 on order and will probably install camber plates dial it perfect. I will be on 255/25zr19 Cup 2s so there will be more meat to fill the arches and I think that will be the icing on the cake.

(The nose has settled a little more [.2”] since this photo was taken)

Question: Is it better to go 12mm front, 15mm rear or 15mm front, 15mm rear?

Some people also did the inverse, where they put the bigger spacer in the front and the smaller ones in the rear? Any thoughts on what to do?

Thanks!

Also I'm not running the upgraded cooling package (so no wheel arch extensions)

12mm spacers front
15mm spacers rear

The rears sit in further so need those extra few mm compared to the front.

This is the spacer setup I run on my car and it’s absolutely perfect. Anything more will go past the fenders and look goofy.

The car that I've done have fender extension.
So, based on the measurement, 15/15 is the perfect setup.
