FWIW, those "leaked" images from China were exactly what I said they were; a body kit fabricator's attempt at making G87 inspired components for other models. Once you've seen the real thing, it's extremely obvious what's wrong with them.

Interesting. Hadn't seen that rear bumper image before. Looks aggressive although the diffuser area looks a little odd and undefined.

Curious to hear how theyre different than the real thing, bc to me they look to be exactly what's behind all the camo on the prototype cars.
Yeah I will comment about the rear once I see it, but the front bumper in that image looks pretty spot on, albeit very 2D compared to what I saw. The one on the car had super pronounced vents. Might have been the picture angles

It's the same exact bumper as what was previously leaked..

How could something be an inspired fabrication, prior to the leak, if it was never officially revealed to the public?

***NOT GENUINE G87 M2 PARTS***

That actually looks really good! I can only imagine how sick it'll be on a fully assembled and painted car.

It’s definitely much more contoured then the leaked pic from China. The one from China looks unfinished and flat looking in comparison. The actual one looks like a BMW M bumper now.

You promised me new headlights on the G87, we even had like a 7 page thread going back and forth on the subject..

Now I am skeptical of everything I see on the internet.. 🤔 Like this photo Jesus riding a dinosaur; is it authentic or also just online fiction..? 😗

LOL I knew this would come up, it was only a matter of time 😂 I guess the person that told me the headlights were different intended the vent modifications as the main definition of them being "different."
It's unfortunate we don't get a double DRL design, I know. I'm not happy about it either. However, that being said, the headlights still look fantastic

I guess that's a matter of opinion but they seem identical to me.. 🤷🏻 And common sense will dictate that they are one in the same.. Not even the bootleggers are that prognostic to carbon copy an unreleased concept.

Looks the same to me, its just that one isn't painted so you can't really see the shape as well. Either way, glad it looks better and more M painted.

The only difference I see is one looks like it's been primed, but not painted. I guess we'll see what differences are if any once the car debuts, but the front bumper leak from last year still looks legit.

On the swirly mule there seem to be more design going on under the headlights and above the bumper side vents. Can you recall if it’s smooth as the Chinese leak or if it has some creases and lines there?

Also in the mules it looks like the side vents aren’t wrapping around the side of the car to any extent, it looks more boxy with little to no curve around the sides. True or just swirly smoke and mirrors?

Supplier CAD leak, access to IP filings, Designworks Interns; there's no shortage of potent sources. But to have alleged OE G87 Facias in China should have been a red flag as to the authenticity; they are not made there.

So the knock-off is identical to…the knock-off and that's confusing to you?

The bootleggers don't share your opinion of their business operations.

A double DRL never existed on any of the mules. That was never happening.

You should of known better. Bean counters run BMW, they would never green light bespoke headlights for the M2.

That area you speak of is just smooth, just like the leaked bumper we've seen. And as for it wrapping around the front end, I would need to see the car in person to give an accurate assessment. Unfortunately it's hard to tell via pictures

There's a first for everything though. 3 series has different lights from the M3, the G87 has modified headlights with the vents. Would have been a long shot to see further modifications to the headlights of the G87, that's true. However we have seen similar things happen before

M3(sedan) always had the coupe headlights. They didn't ever make bespoke headlights for the M3.

That’s going to look great in the way Mexico blue looks super sporty. For me, I think it’s a shade to dark/loud to live with. I absolutely love the space race metal on the 2002 hommage with just a hint of blue, similar to Silverstone on the E92 and E60.
