I am guessing there will be a white and black and some gray/silver already available. Any word on other colors that might be a available at launch? I know there will also be individual colors but my guess is that won't be for awhile…

BMW tends to leave the M Performance / top non-M launch colors out of the true M lineup for a while at least. For example, Estoril Blue II was the F30 M340i launch color and you couldn't get an F80 in it. Melbourne Red was the F22 M235i launch color and you couldn't get an M2 in it. Who knows if this pattern will continue though, since they seem to be expanding the palettes at facilities with newer equipment.

Portimao Blue is an odd exception here.

I'd be very tempted if they offered marina bay blue.

Yes. That list is very uninspiring as are most of the G42 options.

Guess as they’re now offering individual they want you to pay for anything decent.

Why do they always do this on the 1M/M2

Looks like Sao Paulo Yellow will also be a standard color.It might actually suit the smaller design of the G87 better than the G82.My dealer had a G82 in SPY and i wasn't impressed by the color but i also don't like the design of the G82.It is certainly a very bright yellow.

I'm still bitter over the limited colors offered on the F87. I hope they don't repeat that mistake again or I will lose my friggin' mind.

Individual since I want a dark metallic green. Tartufo interior would be ideal. Please at least have a couple brown colors. All Black/charcoal interiors are so boring.

Ugh, so dreary in the F87. Honestly, if it had had a different color interior i wouldn't have ordered a sunroof, but i just couldn't stand the thought of how dark it would be in there all the time without a bit more light.

That was in reference to the G08 not G87.

Will Isle of Man Green be an option for the G87? We saw the Mexico car with the green PDC sensors but no one's mentioned the color.

I would order one in that Isle of Man green.. so awesome. I am hoping for a light blue color though like in the hue of Mexico blue(maybe to celebrate where they are built haha) or yas marina.. I have Long Beach Blue now and love the color but feel it's a little too aqua blue green.

IOMG is spectacular on the G82. I saw one on Saturday while sitting for 30min in stop and go traffic at a detour at the montlake bridge closure. It was in a train of boring white and grey cars and it makes the G82 look like an exotic, my favorite color on that car by a mile.

Since the revised M2 is being launched in the 50th Anniversary Year of the M Division, and the first models will be received right at the end of the 50th anniversary year (in Q1 2023), do the experts here believe that there will be a special edition also available at time of launch, or just the normal: base, C, CS, CSL ramp over the next few years?

This is according to the Future BMW model information thread...

The first four months of its production will fall into the "M 50th anniversary" period so expect the initial run to become somewhat collectible.

I recall reading somewhere that M will be celebrating its anniversary well into next year. It's unclear however if there will be an actual special edition at this time.
